Ford Ironman World Championship!

Everyone knows you have to be a pretty legit athlete to take on a Triathlon. The Ford Ironman World Championship is renowned as the world’s most challenging one day sporting event. This triathlon will be taking place this coming weekend in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii with 1,850 athletes coming from all over the world to compete.

To win this one is to really take home a prize! You can set that prize in sight for your personal triathlon-goal, start with baby steps in doing Tri the Rez this month and work your way up…

The race includes a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike course and a 26.2 mile run. That would be about 155 laps in the Leach pool, seven times biking down the St. Mark’s bike trail and running the McClay Garden Ravine Loop at least five times. Get training. Looking to see some of you participating in Las Vegas World competition in 2011.

For those of you who want to win this thing one day better get your head around completing the whole thing in less than nine hours. That is what the competitors racing this weekend are looking to do!
